Concert at Maidenhead Salvation Army

Ascot Brass presented its annual concert at the Maidenhead Salvation Army hall, where the band normally holds its rehearsals, on 24th February. Also performing were the Maidenhead Songsters, in which several band members also participate.

Highlights included solos from Mark Dallas (cornet; Napoli), Kim Hollamby (euphonium; Pure Imagination from The World's Greatest Showman) and Chris Hill (flugel; Concerto d'Aranjuez), and technical visrtuosity from the whole band playing Kevin Norbury's Gaudete and Dance of the Comdeians from Smetana's The Bartered Bride.
